Job Description

AME Home Care is a home care company based in Catonsville, Maryland. We are a close team of professionals who work well together and maintain a strong focus on the wellbeing of our clients. 

We are looking for an excited team player able to effectively multitask in a fast paced, ever changing environment. You must be a fast learner and very detail oriented. You must also be available to work on-call every other weekend.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform duties related to the supervision, instruction and motivation of aides.
  • Filling all open shifts with aides based upon the needs of client, employee qualifications, and plan of care.
  • Ability to effectively build one-on-one relationships with both clients and caregivers. 
  • Timely and consistently document all information in contact management system.
  • Maintain a current roster of staff, their qualifications/licensures, and their availability.
  • Perform support duties for the nurses in-house and in the field.
  • Monitoring telephony system to ensure caregivers are arriving to client's homes as scheduled.
  • Entering missing times/shifts in a timely fashion. 
  • Participate in in-service education, quality assessment activities and other staff meetings as required.
  • Relay pertinent information about patients to the assigned staff, RN and Manager.
  • Maintain an exceptional level of professionalism and responsiveness with prospective clients and others who may communicate with the agency.
  • Receiving and reviewing caregiver care notes.

 

Minimum job requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in personal care, or home health care or related field as care coordinator.
  • Supervisory experience of at least 1 year.
  • Excellent, professional interpersonal and communication skills - oral, conversational, telephone and written.
  • Effective organizational and task management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
  • Must work well in fast paced environment and adapt quickly to changing conditions.
  • Must be proactive and able to successfully and effectively adhere to tight deadlines.
