Salary: $50 / Hour Schedule: + Monday-Friday, 30+ hours/week (school hours vary by grade level) Pay Rate: + Negotiable (paid weekly) Compensation is may vary based on experience, location, and other factors. Position Summary: Amergis Healthcare (formerly Amergis Healthcare Staffing) is hiring Credentialed School Nurses to support student health and wellness across LA County for the 2025 - 2026 school year. The School Nurse is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care, managing student health plans, and collaborating with school personnel to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment. Key Responsibilities: + Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student care + Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) + Monitor and document student health status and treatment outcomes + Coordinate care with school staff, families, physicians, and community health agencies + Participate in IEP meetings and student care conferences as needed + Provide health counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate services + Maintain accurate and confidential student health records + Support health education and promote disease prevention + Ensure compliance with state laws, educational codes, and nursing standards + Adhere to Amergis Healthcare and school district policies and procedures Minimum Requirements: + Valid School Nurse Services Credential (CTC) + Active RN license in California + CPR certification + Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN, LVN, or LPN) + Minimum 1-2 years of school nursing or pediatric experience preferred + Proficiency in English and strong communication skills + Computer literacy and documentation skills + Must be at least 18 years of age + Completion of Amergis' Competency Program and new hire training + Compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards + Current PPD or chest X-ray and health certificate (as required) Credential Considerations: We welcome candidates with the following credentials: + RN with school nursing experience + CSN - Preliminary Credential + CSN - Full Credential Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
